1. Scope
This policy applies to the Muniwork website, account experience, opportunity-matching service, and related service emails. Muniwork is built for businesses seeking public-sector opportunities, not for personal, household, employment, credit, insurance, or health decisions.
Public procurement websites and documents linked from Muniwork are operated by other organizations. Their privacy practices apply when you visit them.
2. Information we handle
Account and authentication information
We collect your work email address and an authentication identifier when you sign in. Muniwork uses email one-time codes and does not ask for or store your email password.
Company profile and public company information
We derive the business domain from your work email address and use it to look for publicly available information about your company. We may store the resulting company name, website, summary, public source links, confidence information, and an editable draft of matching preferences. You can correct or replace this draft.
Preferences and activity
We store the descriptions and structured preferences you confirm, such as services, capabilities, locations, buyer types, requirements, keywords, and exclusions. We also store actions you take in Muniwork, including solicitations you add, saved or pursued opportunities, passes, watch settings, poor-fit reasons, and any optional feedback note you submit.
Technical information
Our hosting and security providers may process IP address, browser and device information, request time, referring page, and pages requested in ordinary server logs. For the public homepage, Muniwork may use the state code inferred by our hosting provider to favor nearby opportunities when enough are available. Muniwork does not store that inferred homepage state code in your account.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- authenticate users and maintain secure sessions;
- prepare a company profile and matching-preference draft;
- identify, prioritize, explain, and display opportunities that may fit your business;
- preserve your tracking, watch, workflow, and feedback choices;
- send sign-in codes and, when enabled, service messages and opportunity alerts you request;
- protect, troubleshoot, and improve Muniwork; and
- comply with law and enforce our agreements.
The current Muniwork product does not include advertising, cross-context behavioral tracking, or a mechanism for selling personal information. We do not use advertising pixels or product-analytics trackers.
4. AI and automated processing
Muniwork uses OpenAI’s API for limited tasks. For company research, we send the business domain derived from your work email and instruct the service to search public sources and prepare an editable draft. For preference interpretation, we send the natural-language description you submit so it can be organized into structured matching signals.
Muniwork also analyzes public procurement records and documents. AI-produced company information and preferences are drafts you can review and change. They are not used to make decisions about your legal rights or eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, or government benefits. Once preferences are confirmed, Muniwork uses documented matching rules to determine which opportunities appear.
OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default unless the API customer opts in. You should not place sensitive personal information in a preference description or feedback note.
7. Retention
We retain account, company, preference, tracking, match, and feedback information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide and secure the service. We may keep limited backups, security records, or records required by law after an account is closed. Public procurement records and deidentified or aggregated information may be retained independently of your account.
Muniwork does not yet offer self-service account deletion. You may request deletion using the contact information below. We will verify the request and explain any information we must retain.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted connections, server-validated authentication, restricted administrative credentials, and database access controls that limit users to records associated with their own business. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your choices and rights
You can review and revise your company summary and matching preferences in Muniwork. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain uses.
To exercise a privacy right, contact us below from the work email associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.
10. Children’s privacy
Muniwork is a business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Muniwork changes. We will post the revised policy here, update its effective date, and provide additional notice when required by law or when a change is material.
